Between Breaths
This work explores the fragile pause between calm and chaos—the suspended moment when we appear serene, yet survival is uncertain. The water wraps the figure in tranquility, but it is not a place one can remain for long.
Much like living in the world, I may appear composed, functioning, even steady. Yet beneath the surface, each breath carries weight, each day requires balance. The outside sees calm; the inside feels the undertow.
Between Breaths reflects that tension: beauty and danger, stillness and struggle, a face that is both tranquil and gasping for air.
