It’s incredible that we share this earth with so many animals. The very fact that life exists at all is a wonder — and yet, humanity continues to destroy habitats in the name of expansion and “modern living.” Balancing progress with nature is something we haven’t yet mastered.
This tiger, proud, wise, and thoughtful, carries that tension. It waits patiently for its perfect place — maybe in an office, a bedroom, or a quiet corner of a home — a reminder of strength and survival.
For me, nature doesn’t just survive; it inspires meaning. Art is how I hold on to that meaning, both in creating my own and in appreciating the work of other artists.
This piece came to life during a pause from a commission, where I was painting a smaller version of one of my larger jaguars. In stepping aside, this tiger emerged — a symbol of resilience, beauty, and the need to protect what we still have.
