Cuban Toby bird mini artwork original by Chris Shopland Acrylic on A6 10.5 x 14.8 cm
Discovered this rosy apples of a bird (remember those sweets?) while taking part in birbfest a month long January challenge of drawing and painting different birds each day, discovered so many different ones I had never heard of and must surely be Ai! but no apparently these do exist!
It may be small but I have managed to add a lot of texture and colour and keep enough space for flow and balance, all in all a “half done” gem which has impact
a tangible item to hold and find spot for, some put in that narrow space between the door and wall, a little gem to be discovered by guests, others make a mosaic within cluster of others, I always love having photos sent of the artwork once its up in its home, and let me know if I can share it but I enjoy them for my own delight at seeing them enjoyed.
